I prefer the quiet life, i never choose a campsite with a bar/clubhouse on, i never have hols on BH and if possible not in schools hols either. All i want is a peaceful time away, but even i have once taken the law into my own hands.

On a site in devon had a rowdy bunch start screaming and shouting and 2 in the morning, remonstrated with them and and had 2 chaps square up to me and threaten me, i asked them again to please be silent as it was very late, they both then took a swing at me.

Been an ex martial artist of 30 years experence i took them both down very quickly and with minimum damage to them both. I am not endorsing this treatment but sometimes the lowlife of this world need to be taught a lesson.

The next day they left and i had so many people come up to me thanking me for standing up to these people who had caused so many problems

PS been on several site which had same problem and the wardens sorted it, here there was no one available

Without hesitation call the site manager. It's his or her job to deal with it.

We had similar trouble at Minehead and the Site Manager was superb. Polite, non-confrontational. Music switched off immediately!

Must have been a real pain for you:-(

Peter

I am so glad that there are like minded people out there.

Have been to lots of different site's but not one as big (though not huge)as that one.I will now stick to the smaller site's and stick up for myself next time and remember to pitch with my bedroom next to a hedge if possible.

Don't know if it would of bothered me as much if i didn't have the 3yr old with me, as i could of slept in too17

My OH is a softy but even he was wanting to go and do some damage and at 6ft 4 and large luckly i can control him17

1. complain to site anonymously

2. if they are late to sleep get up early and be loud

3. take things into your own hands, revenge is sweet!!
