many thanks or all your suggestions, OH is going to Asda to get a cool box, ice blocks, The river willstill be best for the beer and wine!!  BUT my Robbie and Jess will be happy doggie woggies that they will still get their cheese when we go camping!!!

I too am going to check sites that have freezer facilities

Well, we have an electric cool box, though moslty don't use EHU,but generally can be bothered faffing about with ice or freezer blocks. Ubless less is esp warm (talking UK here)

For most of the time milk will stay fresh for a couple of days at least - and we tend to buy everyday anyway. Cheese will stay fresh, though sweats if it gets too hot. Packaged stuff like Yoghurts is also fine. We don't eat meat anyway, so need to worry about that, but moslty I'd buy it as I wanted it I guess.

When I cycle camp I don't have a coolbox, nor did I when as a youngster spent a few weeks in the South of France in mid summer - little and often is the answer :-)
