Hi Alphonso,
Sorry I have not been on here for a few days and have only just read your message.
Yes they will be our Royce one's, I spoke with Clive, the Editor at Camping Magazine a few weeks back about this and he is going to let me know once he has some feedback.
We have made a carpet for one of his own tents and I hope that once he has tested it along with the rest of the panel then this will then give everyone a clearer understanding as to why a Royce carpet is so different from all others that are currently available. Until this is published the price of a Royce carpets cannot be justified which is why I have not driven the process any faster forward.
Just to give you some more information though, we have just received the test results back for the thermal efficiency of the carpets, which is the main reason we developed them, and they are pretty convincing.
The carpet was tested over a solid bed of ice with an ambient room temperature of 19 degrees and readings where taken over an 8 hour period. The carpet maintained a surface temperature of between 14 and 15 degrees. the same test was then carried out with a carpet from one of the big 3 lets say and their carpet retained 5 degrees for just a few minutes before dropping to the sub level ice temperature of minus 3.
Anyway hope you will be taking up the test Alphonso with Clive and I look forward to hearing your thoughts in the near future.
Regards
Gary
p.s. It may also be worth you putting your name down whilst your about it for the Royce tent test which we hope to be ready to launch by spring next year !!
Hey Gary...
Clive got in touch via email today to ask if it was OK to pass on my email to you. So hopefully he'll be in touch soon with my contact details... Looks like I got lucky and I'll be "road-testing" one of your carpets...
Well chuffed
