I agree with spaceangel - we have the Khyam Ontario 8 and it is an amazing tent. They also do a 6 berth version if you think an 8 berth for 3 people is a bit OTT.

It is easy to put up, fits on a standard pitch, can take 8 x 75cm wide airbeds (so is a genuine 8 berth), removeable bedroom pods so you can have even more living space if needed, standing height (225cm high), SIG, huge living area (over 3m x 3m) with all the bedroom pods in place and you can buy carpet and sun porch to make it a real home from home.

We bought ours in 2007 and paid £189 and got the footprint groundsheet thrown in for free.

Hi

I feel the same way as you about camping and always have but since buying and owning a Wynnster Eagle 6 tent for the last year I now feel happy (not sure that's quite the right word) about going camping for a whole week as the tent has a large living space, open but covered area at the front for cooking in even in the rain and good flexible sleeping accomodation. The tent has even stood up to a good old Scottish storm of gale force winds and torrential rain with just a little puddle by a door seam.

We did also buy the footprint ground sheet for the tent which makes putting it up even easier as the shape is already there for you! You should be able to get tent and footprint for about £250 which to me is a bargain.

Good luck but it's all in making the right choice of tent as our first one was rubbish with no sewn in ground sheet, small living area and low head hight in the bedrooms.

Just read the other reviews for this tent on here and make your own judgement.
