We bought a £16 one from Argos last year. Have used it 15+ times and it's still great. Been washed at home of course. In Feb/Mar we did use a quilt on top but other than that we have never been cold (often had EHU and fan heater) and I don't envisage replacing it anytime soon.
I've never bought a double, but always used two singles that zip together, so they can be used individually if required.
We have Sunncamp king size super de-luxe ones and are very pleased with them. They're very warm and snuggly and after several washes are still really nice and fluffy. They're under £20 from Awnings Direct.
We love our very snug Coleman Hampton they are usually £70-80 but look out for deals at places like Amazon where they are on offer regularly for around £40. Very generous and really warm.
Agree with FionaW, the Coleman Hamptons are very good - I think we got ours for £38 online. It is a 2 season bag and found it and the single warm enough this spring. The Hudson is also very good if you prefer your head to be enclosed

We got a Coleman Pacific which was a little cheaper than the other two at £39.99 but we're very happy with it.
In our last double sleeping bag (Argos special) there was no room to move about and if you went to one side, your partner came with you!
In this though, there seems to be plenty of room and although it feels quite thin we've been warm as toast so far!
I have to be honest, I don't think I could share a sleeping bag with oh, bad enough having to share a bed I always seem to end up hanging off the end or he wraps the quilt round him and I am freezing, if we shared a bag I know he would hog it and I would be squashed in a corner!
