I think sleeping with baby is deffo personal choice and it is at home.
I did it with my little un this time but tbh I didn't sleep that well as I kept checking on her ! If and its a bit IF I can fit the travel cot in this time it will be coming with us if not she will sleep with me again.

I'm not perfect, I've given up trying to have a tidy house and no matter how hard I try my kids faces are NEVER clean !
I breastfed and I did have all of them into sleep with me when they were small. I had a wide single airbed and an extra wide cotton, hoodless sleeping bag. I never had any problem with this but I was used to co-sleeping with them at home. As long as you follow all the normal advice about not drinking, smoking or taking any drugs that would make you sleep unusually soundly then it's not been proven to be dangerous at all. My Hubby likes his beer though and he slept seperately with the older one.
Have to say that the No1 piece of advice I can give new parents contemplating camping is if you're breastfeeding, keep going till the other end of the camping season at least. There's no easier method of feeding on a campsite...no bottles, no sterilizing, no carrying all the formula and boiled water. Just Mum!
East36 you don't need a travel cot for them not to sleep with you, in a Grobag on a camping mat is fine. They aren't going anywhere.
We co-slept a lot at home with our two, it's perfectly safe (with a few proviso's and I see no problem with it camping either. Actually, they didn't really sleep in the sleeping bag, but rather snuggled up, with it partly unzipped 9or possibly some times with a duvet, I can't remember now.
thanks scrumble, she is at that stage now that she is trying to crawl (even in her growbag) she is at the mo just going backwards but did a couple of forward crawls this evening trying to catch her brothers ! So I thought the travel cot would be good to pop her in during the day as a playpen... either that or a long piece of rope and tie her up with the dog to keep her from escaping !
I did see some cool airbeds that had raised sides slightly... as she did manage to tumble off the end of my double one.
But I think she liked snugglering up to her mummy... and I liked it too, suppose you have to make the most of them being little as the boys are up and away now and have little time for snuggerling

Take one set of walking reins, attach to baby but leave one tail of the back loop free. Thread this onto a long guyline. Stretch guyline out along shady side of tent away from hazards and peg down firmly at each end. Place attendant parent close by. Baby has the freedom to crawl up and down in the shade and parent can read a book or whatever in relative peace. Worked for me!
We used to use a plastic storage box for a baby bath ,and for stand up /sit down washes for toddlers who don't like the showers, bigger than a washing up bowl, used to get a couple of buckets of hot water from washup sinks . also you can get paddling pools from poundland that would be ideal for this or just keeping a baby cool in very hot weather.

I've seen that, and personally I hated it.
It's not that onerous task to retrive the little one once she gets too far (which isn't until they can walk reasonably anyway really)
Best it camp in big field with a big space before anythign much to worry about :-)

you mean I can't just leave her in her carrycot... shame !
Actually we probably won't even take it, more space for more important things I think.
I always found when on holiday with the boys that the best place to take them was the beach as they couldn't get very far very fast so I could always catch up with them. So a big open field sounds fantastic I think I'm going to like this camping malarki !
