I spotted a campsite on the train back home from Cardiff and boy was I jealous. The sun was shining, they had green fields all around them, the site was really clean and tidy and I'm sure the fact that the railway line was only a few metre's away probably did not register as everyone seemed pretty happy.
Now here is the awful bit, I had a long train ride ahead, and a really busy couple of months at work coming up, so no chance of a break, how's that for cruelty?
I know htat feeling. We've just go back form a lovely holiday (well a week ago), and now can't get away again until the kids break up at the end of July.

When we had that nice weather I almost pulled the twins out of school to go camping, only thing that stopped me was the fact that son number 2 is doing his A levels.
Even though we only really started camping this year, I have seriously got the bug..lol, might pop down to Go Outdoors today for a fix

------------- Love is like war: easy to begin but very hard to stop
We live in Somerset. I have to drive past the Sanders tent display to get to most places - and we are surrounded by campsites. Not so bad today as it is a bit chilly but last week it was torture!
No chance of even a small camping trip until July because of shift patterns too. Oh well.
It's awful isn't it, I'm having an operation in three weeks and am pretty unwell at the moment. When I do have the op they're telling me its 6 weeks recovery. My OH fell and fractured his arm and has had an op to replace bits with titanium and is now in plaster.
So we're not going anywhere at the moment :( And depending what type of op I have (whether its open surgery or keyhole) might mean I have to cancel our summer trip to France/Germany/Netherlands :(
we were at the beach last sunday and theres a campsite right next to it, how i gazed longingly at it, i did notice however that some folk had tiny 2 man tents on the beach for shelter and thought that next time we go i might take my daughters little 2 man one just to get the smell even, dont think we're going until the summer hols in july and i cant wait, been on looking at the campsite we're going to, was there last year and im imagining our tent pitched and dreaming away

Life isn't a rehearsal, be all you can be, follow your dreams and live life to the full!!
i went to our local garden center today and couldn't resist the NEED!! to look round the tents, and fell in love with a Gelert tent, can't think of the name of it, but it had an optional canopy and even a very extra large porch that is all enclosed at the front, that you buy as an extra!! it was a 6+2 and it was really nice considering i;ve gone right off Gelert since we got our Monty!!!
dreading the next few week ends we have so much on well the children has!! school summer fate that daughter is dancing in, a yr 6 leavers part ,and even a wedding, lol how inconsiderate!

2013 Season.
Upgraded from a TT to a caravan.
Loving it!
Roll on summer :-)
its been ages since I have posted anything as I am currently 3 days before I give birth to our first baby boy, so camping this year has been put on hold (sniffle-sob..)
The tents have been sent to our moms for safe and dry keeping, all camping stuff has been put in the loft or shed to make room for new baby.....Don't get me wrong, I'm really excited about our new arrival, but I have had pangs for camping, my tent etc.
I can't wait till he's old enough to take camping tho!!! I can buy loads more cool kids camping stuff for him!!!

Wahhh!
Bless, I feel bad for whinging about work now. Good luck with your op and hopefully you and your OH will be sunning yourselves in France/Germany or the Netherlands in the summer, oooops, there goes that green eyed monster again lol. Just, kidding.
Good luck.
PS Frizbomb, good luck too with your first little one, I have two, 7 and nearly 3 and it really made my camping trip to see them having soo much fun. And I had to stop myself from buying all the camping bits and bobs for little ones!! (do they know there is a credit crunch going on? as if kiddies aren't expensive enough, lol)

we took our 1st born camping when he was 10 months old, he slept in a travel cot in his own room (it was a french tent & the bedrooms were in opposite corners - I wasn't being cruel) I used to bathe him in the big china sinks in the shower room that were for washing clothes, they even had one of those tall nappy changers on hand - the other campers in the shower room would all 'bill & coo' - he's now coming up for 19 & still loves camping - his school crew are all amid A levels this week & they're off to Devon in August to celebrate - camping!
