we really go fot it on the desseert front ......................... we have youghurts lol

TBH the only time  buy chocolate is when we are camping i buy the funsize twix and time out and stuff cos i think they look great in the coolbox .......... i know that makes a bit weird but hey ho lol

Merangue nests, fresh fruit and squeezy cream. (There is some that doesn't need chilling...try Lidl.)

A favourite our kids have made on their DofE expeditions is 'banoffee pudding'.

Slice bananas into a dish. Take a 500ml drinks bottle and add one packet of butterscotch angel delight and two tablespoons of milk powder. Fill the bottle to about two-thirds with water, replace the lid, and shake the bottle vigorously for about one minute. Pour IMMEDIATELY over the bananas (if you don't it sets in the bottle!).

PS If you want to really impress the kids, try 'slicing' the bananas before you unpeel them! (Take a longish pin and pierce the skin at regular intervals all the way down one side of the banana, poking the pin right into the flesh and then wriggling it from side to side to 'slice' the flesh inside - the beauty of this is that it 'reseals' itself do that you can do this well ahead and the slices stay fresh).

Meringue nest, with dessert yougurt (ie apple crumble, toffee etc). Use weightwatchers or muller if watching waist line.

Pancakes with jam, honey, squooshy cream, fruit

arhhhhhhh butterscotch angel delight, can remember in the dim and distant past when doing DofE we lived on this and vestas..anything we could cook on our beloved triangia. May just have to go and buy some!

When we want something a bit different for desert. 

We go for Carlsberg Export instead of Foster's.
