We seemed to have a larger than usual amount of flys, spiders and other insects visiting our tent during our last camping session. I did take citronella scented candles with us, but just wondering if anyone had any other ideas (other than spraying fly spray in the tent, which I'm sure won't do the fabric any good.
midges: skin so soft by avon-apparently. we have ours ready!
as for the other stuff... i see it that we're in their space. keep food covered and hope that the flies don't buzz about at night-lights attract insects, so sit in the dark. oh sorry.. errm! the first bit is useful, ignore this second paragraph!
skin so softly original forumla and a zapper bat thingy to clobber em with............got mine for £2.50 but someone else got theirs from poundland for ...............£1 and don't keep bags of rubbish in or around the tent

I saw a racquet style zapper the other week which really is a zapper you plug it into the mains and electrocute the blighters!!!
I have bought the nikwax skito stop to 'do' the tent before we go. Have to let it dry in the garden and ventilate a bit perhaps afterwards. Anyone else used it?
we have an Outwell bug killer - it's a rechargeable version of the electric zappers you see hanging up in commercial kitchens, runs for ten hours on one charge and is silent in operation until it "fries" the little bards!
have just used it for the first time this weekend,it's fantastic!!!!!
got ours from Outdoor megastore-i think it was about £20 well worth it
