I've been reading these forums for a little while now and I thought I'd tell you about my week away; just to redress the balance a little.
Me, my OH and my two girls have just got back from a superb week at Greenhills Holiday park near Bakewell.
Firstly their customer service was great. Without Glynis' help, we wouldn't have had a holiday at all. Next we had a great pitch with stunning views or the hills.
Durning the week the site was fairly empty but people were still friendly and pot-washing created plenty of chances for some friendly chatter.
When the weekenders turned up and the place got full, no one broke in to our tent, people pretty much kept to the 23:00 noise limit, there were more kids than you could shake a stick at but there were no groups of bullying or anti-social kids hanging around all night.
There was plenty of socialising ad drinking, a couple of groups of bikers but all in all, we had a very nice time away.
Being truthful, when the site got busy, one of my icepacks did 'go missing' for a while, but you know what? Even that couldn't spoil it for me though, especially when it turned up again just before we left the site.
The rain came and went and the sun shone and camping truly does make for a good holiday!
