We're going camping next week with my brother, his wife and three children and my parents. The parents are in their caravan - they're a little old for a tent now - and the rest of us are in tents. However, my mum has ALREADY announced her intention of doing all the cooking, although I've told her we'll do our own breakfasts.

Haven't been camping with my parents since 1980, so it should be interesting....

We went away beginning of May for a week. There were myself and hubby and 2 boys (11 & 2) in a Vango Venture 500 (tight squeeze in bedroom area but managed). My parents met up with us on the same site but stayed in their caravan.

It was great, my kids got to see nanny and bampie but we had our own space as well for sleeping etc. We all got together for meals though.

Couldn't imagine being in a tent with my mum, she would drive me around the bend...
