OMG! i cant believe that some people can be so intolerant of children and babies!

none of this 'screaming' is dont to wind anyone up, or due to inconsiderate people.

and funnily enough, some of us have babies that wake during the night AND children to entertain! lol!!

i have never felt anything more then empathy for parents of babies when we have been camping without one ourselves!

it is one of those noises/sounds that if you let it wind you up, it will keep you awake. but if you dont stress about it, then you will be more able to fall back to sleep easily enough. and kids take no notice of things like that, it is loud, sharp noises that wake kids!!! (unless, of course, you make a big fuss about it!!)

I think the "screaming CHild" is the BESTEST noise in all the world!

It s great, being woken up in the middle of the night, hearing it holler and shout. Tears a plenty no doubt!.

The reason it s so great is because I havent got to do anything about it.

I can just roll over and go back to sleep, I did my time with nappies et al.

I think you should ignore the comments about being woken in the night, we take our 2 girls both under 2 and they love it. We keep to same routine at home and yes there is tears for first 10 mins of bedtime, but what do you expect it is a totally differant setting for them. Our girls wake up about 7.30 and we do try our best to keep noise to a minimum. At the end of the day i would rather listen to kids having fun then a group of common, loud mouth, scrubbers that have got p*ss*d out of their heads and are up until all ours swearing and shouting. These people hat dont want to camp with kids then go to an adult only site. You enjoy it but just make sure your wife/partner feels comfortable with it. Just a little tip if you are bottle feeding, take the ready made cartons and take one to bed with you (put it under your pillow or something) and it will be ready and warm enough for your baby. If you go enjoy yourselves and i think it would be easier taking a baby then two toddlers.

What do you all do if your children get cold or ill in the night and cry? Pack up and go home immediately? Would you make peoples lives a misery if their children wake you up at night?

Who said anything about making people's lives a misery? I just ignore it, and lie there poking my earplugs further down my ears while trying to get back to sleep.

I've had two holidays ruined by crying babies, and have never said a word about it to the parents.
