I love BBQs and had this running argument who was the better BBQ cook between my partner and myself.
Sadly he passed away suddenly recently so I consider I have won that argument!
I am BBQ mad, and am doing one for 40+ people in his memory this Sunday!
To avoid resentments, I would suggest sharing the cooking/washing up. If it makes him feel manly and in control, then let him I'd say! However, if you wish to have something that is edible and does not resemble charcoal, then do it yourself, as I believe us ladies are less likely to be distracted by a can of beer!
I notice that most people who did the washing up at campsite were male, and I often wondered if they would do the same back home!
