i agree with ben9 check your prices before shopping in go outdoors. i can find most items a lot cheaper elsewhere.
if there is one thing that winds me up its company like go outdoors advertising 1/2 price. which they mean 1/2 price of the mrrp which know company sells at.
they always price match though, so i source it before i go there
got my saucepans, carpet, Bear Lake, coleman hudson sleeping bag etc etc for a lot less than anywhere else advertised
We went yesterday and purchased a tent (Coleman Matrix 600) their price is £250.00, but after doing a spot of research we found the same tent for £171.50. We made a phone call and enquired about Price match, They do plus an extra 10%. They also match any store or WEB price.
Also going around looking at bits and pieces their prices look very good HOWEVER they are not. You can normally get stuff cheaper without trying from anywhere.
We have just bought that tent too, came today after ordering on saturday. have to say, cant fault them, we rang and asked for a price match as they dont stock it at our local store and they also knocked off the postage price. Hopefully a great tent at a great price.
Advise to the bold and beatiful, when buying camping equipment, use the old fashion way buy cash that;s how i do it, just leave the credit cards at home
I went to buy wellies for 2 teenage boys as campsite we frequent has a stream which keeps them entertained for longer then the wii or x box!! Cheapest in the local store in N.Wales were 20-30 quid. Went to Netto yesterday and they had them for 6.99. Also got a fold out table and cookset for a good deal! Only went in for Vanish as their gear was wrecked from the weekends camping trip!! Wish there were decent camping stores in N.Wales tho... need to go view some tents and theres nothing local...gutted
------------- It always rains on tents. Rainstorms will travel thousands of miles, against prevailing winds for the opportunity to rain on a tent.
