Well, my 5m Bell Tent arrived yesterday - hooray Thanks to the folk at belltent.co.uk for getting it here so quickly - great service - and thanks to the poor ol' DHL courier who my neighbour said was f'ing and blinding and huffing and puffing as he was trying to manhandle the whole lot down the drive!
It's all there, and it all looks good - my only problem is that I wanted to have a practice run at putting it up today, and have a picnic and take some pics, but the weather looks iffy (bloody Glastonbury weekend, and our local annual Woodingdean carnival - that's why).
Fingers crossed for it brightening up - and for all you who are off camping this weekend!
Ahh, well it's sunny up here now. The sun has burnt through the fog - I live ona hill and we have out own little microclimate up here - and it's now scorchio scorchio. Need to pop along to the carnival first as daughter number 2 is doing a judo demonstration.. then hopefully off to pitch the tent!
whereabouts in S. Devon are you? I used to spend holidays in Wembury - love it.
Looking forward to seeing the pics, if you have your own micro-climate you better hurry up at that carnival or it might be raining again by 1 o'clock.........get a wriggle on
We are looking to buy a 5m bell tent and are also in Woodingdean! Would we be able to come and have a look at the tent? If you don't want to put it up then maybe we could come and have a chat about it as we haven't bought one yet and are trying to find out as much as possible!
Thanks
Sue
Hi there Sue. If you drop me an email at p DOT millis at sussexDOTacDOTuk, then we can arrange something. I'm hoping to take a day off next week if the weather is good, and putting the tent up, possibly down at Rottingdean park. I just can't believe that we've had crappy weather so far every time I've had the day off. Drop me an email anyway. Wonder if you know my better half, Nicky?
