Dear all,

We are a family of two adults with 2 young boys 1 and 2.

We are thinking of camping the odd weekend say in the lakes to get out and about with the kids. We would camp at organised sites out of the back of my car in summer.

We wondered if anybody could reccomend a large reasonably priced decent tent idealy with 3 beds. Also any advice re basic equipment like sleeping bags etc would be greatly appreciated.

Thinking of around £200 for tent not thought about the other stuff but guess I need decent bags and mats etc as want kids to sleep well when me and Mrs having a glass of wine or 3!

With the lads being that young I would suggest something with bedroom spaces side to side.

As opposed to having the bedrooms across from the living area ad we do in the Vango Diablo. Great for when the kids are a bit older.
Some tents have the bedrooms clustered together or where they can opened up into one.
