What gorgeous weather - just happy that we already have our pitch booked for this weekend!!

However, with anticipated temperatures in the high 30C's and even higher next week, has anyone knowledge of a silver reflective flysheet that we can throw over over our Lichfield cotton canvas tent? It has a light roof but still seems to soak up the rays to oven temperatures.

How about those silver survival blankets? Dirt cheap, and you could just attach them with clothes pegs.

Thanks Pete - the survival blanket idea sounds worth exploring. I'm sure they are tough enough to last as long as the heat wave will!

I'm sure I've seen reflective flysheets in the past - possibly aimed at putting over caravans on the continent.

Where would the best place to get these be??

A larger sheet would be better...
