Hi everyone,

Please help, I bought a coleman comfort double airbed we have used it twice and its leaking.  I can't find a hole so it must be from the valve.  I would send it back and complain but i cant remember where i got it from.

Should i try to repair it or give up and get a new one, and if so what should i get, my hubby finds camping sometimes uncomfortable so i will be looking for something that is extra comfy.

Thanks

We've got the same bed and love it, unfortunately though ours also has started to leak and I suspect its from the valve also. I know its a daft question but have you tried putting air in and then putting water over the valve parts to look for the air bubbles?    We have bought the same bed because of the comfort element (when not sprung a leak) and also because we've had it over 2 years.

I'd turn the house upside down to find the receipt or if you bought with other things using a debit/credit card then check the statements.17  If the same had happened to me after using it only twice I'd be reluctant to buy another.

If all the above failed then I'd certainly e-mail Coleman.

I am sure it was outdoor megastore, i will give them a call tomorrow and check and get the hose pipe out myself but it does seem to be the valve.

We've got the exact same problem, have just thrown it in the back of the cupboard and bought some self inflating mats.

Might stick it on Freecycle and see if anyone wants to have a go at repairing it. Ours has only been used twice too :-(

Ours needs pumping up a bit each day but generally it's been fine, wouldn't change it now, way too comfy

It always rains on tents. Rainstorms will travel thousands of miles, against prevailing winds for the opportunity to rain on a tent.

You lot with yer Coleman Comforts what you like !!!

Try an Intex deluxe queen air frame, honestly we tried more airbeds than I care to remember and if they weren't going down they where un-comfy or unstable. We never need to put air in either part of the Intex and its the best nights sleep I have ever had.

Go on be devils and break away and try an Intex you wont be sorry 17
