Hi I am a lurker on this board but have gotten lots of useful hints and tips for camping, this is our first full year camping and loving every minute but I am now in the market for a new air bed.  We are going to the cotswold view caravan and camping site at the end of july and I will be 27 weeks pregnant, hubbie has given me the all clear for a new raised air bed and I have been looking at aerobed comfort raised king and the intex queen raised comfort top, does anyone have any reviews on either.

Just make sure that whatever you buy it'll fit in your tent. Don't forget the height as well as the area

I camped several times during my last pregnancy between 26 and 36 weeks. There was no way I would have shared a double mattress with DH! I had a single flocked airbed that was quite comfortable and shared a pod with my DS2 on another single - he is always still and doesn't shuffle around at night. TBH I don't think I could have shared a double with anyone as I shifted position alot during the night and that is v. difficult on an airbed with 2 of you.

The following year we switched to self inflating mats (the 7cm Fat Airics) and I do wonder if these would have been more comfortable.

Take several real pillows or a body pillow (the memory foam ones are good). Synthetic are better as they don't feel damp in wet/humid conditions. Don't skimp on these as I found they make a real difference to your level of comfort.

Also have some good arrangements in place for when you need to go to the toilet in the night! I had a bucket with a lid and I can't say I would recommend it at 36 weeks pregnant!

I slept like a log most of the time - the cool night air & sleeping outside is lovely when you are pregnant.

Have a lovely time - my baby is 19 months now and loves camping and would spend every waking moment outside if he could. I do wonder if he had a head start camping so much when I was pregnant
