Yesterday I was looking for a suitable site in Lancashire and came across Ribble Valley Naturist Caravan Park. I almost booked, but the lady of the house pointed out that 'naturist' was not to do with a David Bellamy award. Silly me.

Lynne or Steve (or both) could go there, have no problems with what to wear (at all, anywhere) AND be the first to write a review.

On the subject of crocs and showers, I have seen a number of references to people wearing their crocs IN the shower - I wear flip flops to avoid contact with the shower itself but they are only used for showering - surely people don't wear shoes that they have worn outside in the shower? I know they get washed but that's really nasty!

Yep, agree with that.

Well - being of the larger lady posse<IMG align=absMiddle src="https://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/chatter/forum_images/smiley9.gif" alt=17>  I feel the need to protect all nearby eyes from the sight of me wobblying (with g-doingers swaying)( I know TMI) on my morning wander to the showers by wearing a navy tracksuit which also doubles as my-sitting-out-in-the-evening-when-its-got-chilly-outfit, along with my crocs.  To the outside eyes I am now a svelt size 0 and dont get a second glance.(I can dream)However wearing my PJs or getting tangled up whilst damp trying to put on my bra (concious of the huffing queue waiting) and probably dropping said items on the soggy muddy floor would be sure to provide amusement to fellow campers enough to put them off their bacon butties

Now if you'd like to pick yourselves up off the floor as you roll around laughing mines a tea no sugar!

Rarely shower if it's a two-night trip. But generally very slobby on site, shorts t-shirt flip flops, part of the fun.

Last year I wore my nightie, fleece jumper and wellies/(dare I say it)crocs, there and back, which I have to say is a really sexy look! However, did feel a bit exposed - especially when coming out the shower to a waiting queue, and we're going to a bigger site this year so might have to resort to PJ's which I've always hated but I hope will feel more respectable!

Oh my god, the thought of a naturist campsite! All that bending down putting up the tent or putting in tent pegs! I wouldn't have to worry about what to wear to the shower but then again, I wouldn't ever come out of the tent. I think I'll stick to 'clothed' campsites for now, unless the impossible happens and we both lose about 4-5 stone.

'Jamas and crocs for me, morning or evening.  I hate trying to get into clothes in cubicles, trousers dipping in the standing water - would it have been so hard to build these things on even the tiniest of slopes so the water naturally runs away instead of waiting to soak into the vital piece of clothing I'm guaranteed to drop in it????

I have dreadful balance which is even worse on one leg so hopping around a tiny cubicle, trying not to touch bare, damp skin to the somehow always ice-cold walls is just not an option I care to explore more than once in my life.

Much prefer to get fully dried and dressed in the comfort and privacy of the tent or caravan, even if we have to keep the blinds closed until I'm done, much to OH's impatient annoyance!

Yep, agree with that

Why is that any nastier than some people walking about the campsite barefoot and then going to the shower, plastic shoes wash as clean as feet do surely.

CROCS are the finest footwear ever invented!! I wear them all day everyday, they go in the washing machine, the sea and I have walked miles in them. On the way back from the shower, shorts crocs and a fleece are perfect!
