We're going away for our first week in just under 2 weeks time and I'm looking for cheap meal ideas. We intend on taking our camping BBQ and I have a 1 ring cooking stove (althought I plan to by another this week) so I will have 2 seperate rings.

If the weather is good, then we plan to BBQ most nights, but if the weather turns out to be wet, then I am looking for some meal ideas that I can cook on the rings.

We are camping very close to a Lidl, so getting supplies every other day is not a problem.

Suggestions please??

I basically cook the same kind of things we would have at home - part of the fun is adapting meals to fit your cooking equipment!!!

We have things like:
* curry
* chilli
* meatballs
* spaghetti bolognese
* chicken and pasta
* "roast" dinner
* gammon and pineapple
* beef stew and dumplings
* BBQ

I always take my stainless steel steamer and my slow cooker which makes rustling up scrummy dinners very easy!!

Same as suggested really. Anything you can cook at home.
One pot meals do make life easier though.

One thing I did on our last trip was in one pot I boiled some gammon and then on another I had a tiered steamer with potatoes and veg. It was lovely.
