Just after some advice. We are off camping next week for a couple of nights.

Assuming we have a choice of pitches on the site is there anything we should look for before choosing.

On the pitch what should we be deciding for putting the tent up (i.e direction and stuff)

Under a tree has negatives too... such as sap and twigs falling onto your tent... as well as the rain dripping down long after the shower has finished... Agree, you can't beat looking out onto a sunset.

Try to get a pitch that has some natural shelter from the wind...

Having a little one myself, we try to pitch with the play area within sight, but not right next to it... Same goes for the toilets/showers and bins - nice to have them close for that wander to the loo during the night... but would you want to be pitched right next to them?

Bartyboy - see you are going to S Breazle - what a fantastic site! Loved it to bits. Without a shadow will be returning next year... Has to be my in my top three sites...  A gem!

Fair point... Those little blighters always seem to like it under trees too...
