dont know if anyone is interested but they had camping stoves for £8.99 in quality save. the butane refills are £3.99 for 4.

has anyone used these? made by outdoor pursuit (i think)

i know they will not be the best quality but its only to cook bacon,sausages etc a few of times a year.

Do you mean the 'suitcase stoves'? Single ring cooker in a plastic case with moulded handle? I've had one for a few years now, Sunncamp Uno, and it's excellent. They cook really fast, and they're very stable.

However, beware of the gas refills - some campers on this forum have had problems with the cheap refills. Best to buy the 'Campingaz' ones in a multi-pack from Argos, just to be safe.

I have a stove of this style and I get through canisters quite quickly are the Campingaz one any better or are they all the same

The volume in the Campingaz cartridges is 250gm per cartridge, which I believe is the same as most cartridges of that type.

The main issue as Jean mentioned above is there have been some problems with the cheaper cartridges, as highlighted in previous posts on the forum, whereas campingaz is a reputable brand.
