Couple of folding chairs  , 12v airbed pump ,washing up bowl  and small camping stove .All these can be found at tesco etc quite cheap .You can go a bit mad buying kit sometimes the good thing about camping is outdoor lifestyle ,if you take every luxury you may as well book into a hotel

Cheers Ian

Ps games (football etc )to keep the kids amused a nice bottle of red for the adults

We have nearly every luxury, but it has taken many years and lots of camping trips to refine our kit to fit our exact needs and ensure we can cope with any problems that may crop up.

I'm new to camping and have my first weekend away in a couple of weeks (just me and the dogs).

Apart from the tent, airbed & pump, sleeping bag etc I have a gas stove, kettle, coupe of disposable BBQ's, a few cooking utensils, some plastic plates, mug and frying pan.  I'm working on the basis that first night I'll be busy putting up the tent, walking the dogs and getting them settled so will have lunch at work in the day time and just grab a sandwich on the way.  For the morning will cook on the stove then BBQ in the evening.

Apart from cooking stuff, I've got some bin bags, cleaning cloth, torch, lantern, matches, coolbox, plastic backed picnic rugs, folding chair & table (more to keep things out of tail height!).

I've been collecting these bits and pieces and storing them in the spare room.  I've got a plastic storage box with a lid as that can be a "surface" to put stuff on as well as storage in the tent.

For entertainment, I'll take my iPod and a couple of books and plan to just chill out after days out with the dogs 17

I'm sure I'll have forgotten something important but there's only one way to find out!

One other thing, practise putting your tent up!!  I've put mine up once so far and weather permitting, taking it to the parents tomorrow (need more space than my own garden) and having another go.  I had a smaller similar tent last year and that was ok, but this one is bigger so I want to practise and not spend hours putting it up on my first night.

I forgot to add that I got a cheap washing up bowl to put dirty stuff in/take to washing up area.  Guess if needs must, could always pee in that in the night 17
