We have never spent that much!.

We usually take as much food as e can. we do have a camping fridge though and take some meat, ham, chesse, salad etc

.We do have the occasional meal out but love the idea of cooking on site and having bbq plus the kids really enjoy it just as much if not more to be honest.

I thought thaat was the idea of camping!!! or am I wrong?

The only money we spend is on days out if we go and extra goodies or bottles of wine etc. We got into camping as a cheap option and if I was looking to take £900 A WEEK  I would probably we able to afford a forgien holiday.!!!!

Blimey...we're stuffed then as we only budget about 600 - 700 for ten days and that has to include site fees and petrol !....we spend alot of time on the site and alot of time walking, on the beach.  We tend not to buy alot of ice creams etc, but buy from Tesco and take packed lunches.  We do usually have one or two pub meals out and this year we're planning a dolphin watching trip too...apart from that we have to be very frugal !...though there are only three of us.

It was £900 for 10 days and if you read my post it does state that we will be cooking at the tent most nights, but we will prob eat out most days at lunch because we will be going of site most days.

I was asking this because its the first time we are going awy as a family, camping for 10 days, we normally just go for long weekends. We dont go camping for cheap opion we go camping because it is what we as a family love to do.
