This is quite a sheltered site if you are at the top end of the field nearest the amenities. It is also quite hilly with a few fairly flattish spots. Last time we went it poured down but water runs off very well.
Martin.
Thanks Martin. Just checked with site and they say it's not too bad - drizzle. The kids and me are up for it however as my wife's a reluctant camper a tactical withdrawl may be called for. We're away again shortly for 10 days under canvas and don't want to risk that trip Just heard of closures on A66 due to flooding. Will give it a couple of hours and watch local news/weather. Well another typical start to the weekend and school holidays!!!
I saw that film advertised in Rheged last week when we were down. I couldnt walk past the chocolate shop though! Bought some for my mums birthday. Look forward to going back down. It was my first time in Pooley Bridge in quite a few years. Still love the place. Rain or Shine

Cool campers use Delta Pegs.
The happiest people aren't the ones who have everything they are the ones who make the most of everything they have
Sympathies to anyone trying to get away this weekend, I'm on the wrong side of the Pennines and it's dire here, chucking it down, blowing a gale and freezing. Can't believe it's July, feels more like October.
Car packed and ready to go. Might be the shortest camping trip ever however nothing ventured... I mean what's the worst that could happen? For the record I don't want to know, otherwise might have 2nd thoughts again

Apparently the gulf stream "is in the wrong place" again!
Actually it's the Jetstream....that's the one up in the air not the one in the Atlantic, but whatever it's been persisting down all day in North Wales.
