Is it normal for it to wobble and squeak so much?

Should the guy ropes be near the tent or at full length away from tent?

Do we make the guys go at different angles on each one?

ie some forwards angles and some backwards angles if looking from the front of the tent?

all at 45 degrees from the seam?

EDIT: just noticed you have a Sun Valley 6 - a fantastic tent, BTW

We have a Sun Valley 6 and whilst it may move and creak a bit, I've been in a quite severe storm in it and it held up great.

Guys: about half way between the tent and the absolute maximum has worked well for me.

The SunValley has fibreglass poles which can flex with the wind if they need to.  A steel frame (like a Montana) won't be able to flex as much.

Either way, I wouldn't be worried!

Is it a steel pole tent or carbon poles...we have an outwell indiana 4, they have steel poles and the only thing I notice in high winds is the fabric flapping. I find this tent great in high winds and we had plenty especially on our trips to the coast last year...
