Cotton and polycotton are both cooler in heat as cotton is breathable.

Some people say that drying time is alot longer than polyester but we disagree.

More than once this season, our sons poly pup tent took longer to dry than a huge cotton pyramid !

Pack sizes can be larger but then again, a massive poly tent can be just as big or even larger.

we upgraded to our current investment outwell norfolk lake from our polyester sunncamp vario 500 and we definitely say they is now comparison. We too are off to France in 2010. Yes the tent weighs alot more but that comes with quality. First trip out weathered it well as it snowed.

GET INVESTING IN THE WINTER WHILE THEY MAYBE CHEAPER!!

For me there is no going back,  I wont ever buy or use a pollyester tent again,  as sue says above just have a nosey round a display ( assuming you can find a cotton one there,  most decent displays from the better retailers do )   you will notice the difference !

Cotton / Pollycotton tents are as everyone says a lot quieter, they dont flap around in the wind, they feel so much more cosy and smell better.  Yes heavier, but well worth the ectra money.

They do sound ideal for warmer climes.

Warmer in low temps, cooler in higher

But be warned, after polycotton comes the next step.. cotton lol

Thing is, pc & cotton are breathable so no more feeling overheated and struggling to breath in high temps.

Once tried you wont go back :)
