I think i may have made a mistake with my booking for august . I loved the campsiite so much I  got carried away ,took a chance and booked a pitch that maybe too small .

the useable area of the pitch is 10m x 6m and my tent is 7.5m x 6.15m so 15cm's bigger than the useable area. there is 1.5m at the edge of the pitch  for safety and 2 sides of our pitch are next to a road so I am thinking  I could get away with the extra 15 cm,s as long as its on a road side .

what do you think am I making a huge mistake , I have asked about cancellation but can't get a refund only a week in low season next year instead which would be ok but i'm not sure we can afford to book another week in august and i daren't tell dh I've messed up.

do you think I will be able to get away with an extra 15 cms ?

I would phone the camp site and talk to them.

The maximum unit size allowed on C&C club sites is 9m x 5m,but the overall pitch size is 11m x 11m,so that pitch size you have quoted is ok one way,but 6m,that is very stingy.
Where is this campsite?I would be inclined to check with the site, this sounds a case of squeezing too many units in to maximise profits.

I am assuming your dimensions exclude guy lines?
If your actual tent is 750cm x 615cm you then need to allow for guys at least 1m in each direction.
This means overall you need 950cm x 815cm so if the useable pitch size is 10m x 6m you aren't going to fit!!!

I would ring the site.

Hi there, You'd be better off ringing the site and checking before you set off. If you're anything like me you will only worry yourself sick about it and there may be no reason too. Lots of sites are very friendly and don't forget - they want your business so will try their utmost to accomodate you. Don't leave it to chance - ring them now, get it sorted and put your mind to rest. Have a great time! Lorraine x
