Not seen this one but looks like a decent bit of kit with 2 good size bedrooms - I like Khyam tents. My only concern would be the very minimal living area - it would be a real squeeze with 2 adults and 2 children in there if the weather was bad.
I have the Licata 400 for quick get aways - decent size bedroom takes 2 double airbeds (bedroom can be divided by curtain) and large living area. Also has SIG and is standing height. Quick and easy to put up too. Same price as the Nomad.
We have the Khyam Santiago, a 4-man vis-a-vis and have been very happy with it. I believe it's been replaced by the Khyam Winnipeg with a SIG now. However, we use it for 2 adults, and I don't know where you'd store all your gear and "live" in bad weather using a 4-man tent for 4 people.
I don't really want a living area (or standing height) as this will be our spur of the moment fair weather tent... hence small and as light as possible is the requirement. If we wake to prolonged rain it will be addressed by getting in the car and going somewhere dry - probably home!
I think I'm hankering after carefree backpacker days - and in denial about the realities of having two lovely, lively children in tow!
Has anyone managed to camp light with a couple of small kids?
