We are off tomorrow morning to The Orchard campsite at Wickham Market. It has piddled down for our main weeks camping holiday every day for the last two years..... it's not fair, I'm not a fair weather camper, but just once it would be nice to see a break in the clouds!
Not from Wales ;o) I will always be a Yorkshire lass at heart.....
Good job we are trailing along the M4 to Suffolk this year, according to metcheck (currently) it should be dry for most of the week, just a few showers to contend with!
It is currently like winter in South Wales, I could almost be tempted to put the heating on....
We were very luckas we went to Thetford Forest June 21 to July 1st and had 3 hours rain our whole stay.
Knowing when to book/take your holiday in the UK is a lottery weather wise.
We went to Dunstan Hill in Northumberland in Sept 2007 and had a lovely sunny week.
Took the same week in 2008 and had to come home 3 days early due to flooding.

I had planned a short break for next week - but beginning to have my doubts, Not that I am a fair weather camper, just a little fed up of camping in the rain,
Got to admit that we were really lucky in May, as it was glorious. Went on the Tuesday, the rain started in the night - by Wednesday moring it was blowing a gale and lashing it down. Sat there thinking "here we go again". Dried up Wednesday afternoon. Woke up on Thurdsay morning to glorious sunshine, which stayed for the rest of the week.
Off to Barmouth Tomorrow morning if we wake up and it's not raining, if it is, work for me and blow it until August, really really tired of this uk weather of late.
------------- Always make the effort, life is too short.
I went to Swansea for the day a few weeks back with my mate to pick up rest of her stuff from uni and apart from a spit or spot on the way it was lovely and roasting!
I love the internet! I have just emailed the campsite and so far they haven't had too much rain, the site is holding up well! He says it may be damp until the weekend, and after that it is looking good :o)

Aaarrggh, we're booked to go to Tenby in early August - so far, in our (first ever) 2 trips, we've only had one night of rain - I have the horrible feeling our luck is beginning to run out....

It has brightened up down here now.. I no longer feel the need to be sat here with the light on! There is plenty of time for the weather to perk up between now and August!
