Hi all, after a few days the other week trying to cook in the rain, we decided we needed some form of shelter. We have the Vermont XL, so could manage to cook in the middle of the porch if necessary but prefer not to, so we thought a tarp would be the best way to go. We don`t have room for a kitchen tent and don`t really want one with such a huge tent, soooooooooo........................does anyone know the best place to get one with the best price? At the moment we have found one for £45 with £4.95 delivery, but wondered if anyone had got one somewhere cheaper?
I saw an advert in the paper earlier today from Halfords for a gazeebo around £30. It could be an easy to set up alternative though not sure of the quality,
Hi folks, thanks for all the help. OH said he has some spare tarp in the shed and we have the poles from the Vermont that hold up the front porch when it`s open, so he`s going to see if he can rig a shelter up so we can cook outside if it`s raining. We take the poles with us already so an extra tarp won`t take up too much room. Fingers crossed it will work !
Thanks for that Hairywol, we already have some so were going to try them anyway, but it`s a useful piece of info for anyone who doesn`t know about them.
i love then tarps!! How ace are htem?? I wonder why i haven't seen any of them n the campsites that i've been tent stalking recently?? I think they're fab!
------------- love shopping, love a bargain even more!
