I just ordered a Gelert Horizon 4 carpet for my Basecamp Ambato 5 tent, as they are similar in size. It was quite expensive as I had to get it in from the UK but hopefully it will be worth it.   I want to do what I can to protect my ZIG and make sure it lasts a lonnnng time as we hope to not have to spend on a tent again for a number of years.

36.99 Go Outdoors.

Best tent buy ever! (other than the tent that is)

The Black circle in the middle is where we connect the third bedroom (when we use it)

My girfriend kept going on about getting a carpet for our Orchy 600 but I could never see the poin, but one day I gave in and to be honest its the best thing we ever bought for the tent apart from the extension, footprint ground sheet and 4 pole windbreak that I also walked out the shop with.

Only problem was tho I had to go to a big supplier which was Yeomans and pay a little more because all the cheaper place's was out of stock and not getting vango stuff back in as the season is coming to a end and Vango has stopped supplying, I hope this help's.

Getting on great only grumble I have is that it isnt as snug a fit to the main body as I would have liked but at the end of the day all we do is cook in there and store food that is held in water proof boxes in there.

The reason we got it was purley for cooking and storing so the living area in the tent would be purley for living and no longer smelling of what we had cooked for the remainder of the day and falling over things, not got pics at min but me and the mrs are erecting it at weekend in the garden to check it over before we go away as the main body takes us only five mins and the extension about 2 mins.

So I will take some pics and upload them on Saturday or Sunday if you like. The extension is the one with the door as I heard the canopy extension goes all wrong if the winds pick up.

Chris

Hi,i to love the idear of a carpet, but Hi Gear dont do one just now for our tent and to get another one to fit the dimentions of my floor space it would have to be the Outwell Monty 6 carpet but at the cost, far to dear,(first time campers so just had to buy everything from scratch lol)but was lucky enought to be in Morrisons yesterday where they had the big soft fleece picnic carpets on sale for £3.95 all matching(lovely bright thick stripped pastel colours) and they are square(dont have the extra flap bit sticking out)and im getting them stitched together (sewing machine job)and they fit the dimensions of my living space 4.10mx3.10m and its only cost me £23.70 big difference from £81....Hopefully this will do just as good a job lol.

Hi Chris, yes, the "doorless" ones can get the wind up 'em.

They don't like it up 'em 17

Look forward to seeing the pics. We keep (I keep) thinking about one.
