I've gone back down to minimalist camping now, so it all fits in the boot -just! The reason is it's not often that we all get days off together, weird working hours/days so I like to be able to just throw it all in fast and get off quick when we can.
Many years ago we used to take loads, buggies, full cooker, frame tent you know the score. When our trusty old banger broke down under the strain, the garage kindly said they would drop us and our stuff off at the campsite. You should have seen the look on the driver's face when we unloaded the broken beast! He just shook his head, went for a ciggy and left us to load it into the garage van. He said he still didn't know how we got it all in.
