When we bought our tent more years ago than I care to remember, we bought a tarp and made our own full size groundsheet, which I assume is what is referred to these days as a "footprint" groundsheet. Our bedroom area has a sown in sheet, but we used the tarp to make the full size inside the tent including under the bedroom. Helps protect the sleeping area and the double layer also helps stop punctures on our blow-up mattress.
You will need to make it slightly smaller than the tent all the way around to stop rain running down the outside from landing on the groundsheet and running inside.
