YES YOU ARE SAD. they are tent pegs the go in the ground they will get dirty
Sorry... My kit cost me a lot of money, don't think there's anything wrong with taking a bit of pride in it and keeping it ALL clean
You asked the question I answered. no offence intended, it was a light hearted comment. I take onboad the comments about getting dirty hands then handling everything else too. I put my dirty pegs in a plastic storage box so they do not fill the bottom of the tent bag with dirt. By the time it comes to reusing them the dirt has dried and just falls off with a little tap.
But here is an idea put your dirty pegs in a bucket with a lid part fill it with water and seal it for the journey home (best in a trailer not the car i think) should be clean by the time you get home
