We have a booked to go to Wickham Market this weekend but also have a weeks holiday in Poole booked for Mid Aug.

Should we go when its raining and just leave ourselves 2 weeks to get all the kit dry again?? Bit scared of packing away a wet tent and not having enough time to dry it again as it's bigger then our front room and doesn't even fit in the garden!

I went to Angelsey at the weekend and packed away in very heavy rain. We just threw the tent in the boot and hung it over the banister when we got home with the inner on the washing line. We finally packed it away last night when dry. I know it's more work but it's a shame to be a slave to weather forecasts. Just fold the tent as best you can and keep turning till dry.

Thanks for that - Unfortunately don't have a bannister or much room as live in a masionette with 2 greyhounds so hanging stuff out is a no no - hence why we are a bit dubious of going to get everything wet then trying to dry it again!

Think we will see what its like Friday morning!

It's not the raining whilst we are there that's putting me off - more that we only have a short time (and no space) to dry everything before we go away for a week!

I had rain for my first ever camping trip and still enjoyed it (just learnt what clothes to pack). Just trying to think how we could dry the tent indoors - anyone do a tent suitable for tumble dryers? lol
