aye up,

nothing else is needed. I own two of these and the tarp comes with the poles and guy lines! I recommend these but just be careful in very high winds because one of mine ripped.

People say you have to travel to see the world. Sometimes I think that if you just stay in one place and keep your eyes open, you're going to see just about all that you can handle.

The tarp does come with 2 poles but we also take 2 poles and spare guys from the sun canopy from a little used tent we have which gives loads of extra configerations!

We have this tarp, but the poles it comes with are too 'short' for us as we are quite tall and we use it to cover the cooking area.   Decathlon also sell some extending alu poles - we take two of those with us as well as the ones it comes with and that does seem to help with the options.

OK got that tarp

I dont understand how they get the tarp to do this in the picture (ONE WITH TABLE UNDERNEATH IT)only using 2 poles. Are they using thin poles to make the sides tight around the edge of the canvas. The only way I can see it is to use 4 poles 1 in each corner
i got 2 poles with the kit and pre attached guy ropes

They are using the two poles for the main ridge and then the guy ropes to the corners are tied to something higher than the ground. It can be done, but is not as straightforward as it looks. There is also limited headrom beneath. However, overall a very useful piece of kit. We tie one edge to the awning and then use the two poles to extend the other edge.

Hi,  I have used my quencha tarp successfully this week.  came back from Berkshire yesterday.  Handy piece of kit when it showered.  I used the poles which came with the tarp + tent.  I was able to cook underneath it and sit out while it rained, which was really nice rather than being stuck in the tent.   The area was large enough to have a wooden picnic bench which the campsite provided, also my camping table, which I cooked from.   The shelter stayed up all time as we were sheltered by tall trees and Hedges, so it was safe enough.

I can see your point about the picture, The tarp would have been too low.  I don't think the picture is to scale. other wise the poles would have to be extended for that much clearance between bench and tarp in that particular configeration. imho

Can I join the apreciation club too.

Bought a Quechua tarp just in time for my break to Weymouth - delivered morning we left.  Thank goodness I got one.  We set it up between our two tents, using 6 poles (2 supplied plus 2 sets of door poles from tents and it made a lovely sheltered area to cook and eat for 8 of us.  Wish I'd bought one ages ago.  Looking forward to using it in France with our big tent - trying to work out different configerations in my head so won't look too stupid in front of the dutch!!

I wouldn't worry too much about the pictures, it's only advertising. What about all those clothes in shop windows that fit perfectly, you cant see all the pins & bulldog clips holding it all in place on the dummy.

The tarp is good & with a couple of extra adjustable poles as mentioned above you can do a lot with  it.
