Had an erection on my front lawn yesterday afternoon!!  It was great fun, unpacked my Vango icarus 500 and pegged out groundsheet ( thanks Gary I took your advice cos couldn't get footprint and it was cheaper :-)  )  Have to be able to pitch tent on own as OH doesn't 'do' camping.  Anyway it only took me about half an hour and I only broke one pole!!  Got to get that fixed and then hopefully the weather will be kind and Betsy (my 3 year old Australian terrier) and I will be heading off to West Wittering in Sussex for some walks on the beach and then a glass of something cold in our tent. Am so excited, can't wait to go, it's 18 years since I last went camping.  Only going for 2 days, but should be fun.

Opps for the pole but glad you sorted the groundsheet out. Have a great time in Wittering and let us know about it when you get back. Are you replacing the pole yourself ? just you say you have got to get it fixed ? Its an easy job to do simply untie the elastic cord from one end, oh and there maybe a small washer, and un thread the poles, keeping them in order, then replace the damaged one and thread them up again, tie a knot, jobs done.

Just noticed you are going to West Wittering.  That's one of our favourite places to stay.  Hope you have a wonderful time.

Hope you have fab time - was there yesterday, only for the day, am going back camping in a few weeks, the weather was great, and lots of beaches allow the dog, in the East Wittering, Bracklesham area..

Had my first one in Clumber park but I had to keep going back to try again until I was happy to go public with it.

Lots of zipping and unzipping and unwanted dogs sniffing about but I got it up there in the end.
