I think this year has been my busiest camping year ever, mainly with family or friends and once with my boyfriend! Dont think he is in a hurry to go again.
My greatest triumph of the year was my first solo camp. Had a great time and cant wait to do it again.
However, I would also be up for meeting with other ladies for a camping trip. Great idea.
I am also a 'Lone' female camper.. although I do have two boys I take with me. Kids were just 4 & 6 when we first started camping and now at the grand old ages of 10 & 8 they are a dab hand at putting the tent up with me. We love it and I have to say it makes me chuckle when I see couples arguing about how to put the tent up as it's a problem we just don't have. All I tend to get is blokes watching us and then once it's all done they offer to help
Anyone ever heard of Ski Bunnies? Well, I was thinking of setting up something similar called Camping Blokes (not camp blokes - don't think that would work). It would be a service for the discerning lady camper who wants to leave old grumpy at home, but would like some proper bloke with her just for company and to help with the tent and to share the fun of it all with. And there would be no charge, so long as the discerning lady covers for the site fees and transport costs. Any other services that the discerning lady requires would be strictly a personal arrangement between the lady and the Camping Bloke.
Hi No Faff just been on a camp with my regular camping girlfriends and children and my husband was 'invited' to join us! love my girly camping weekends and have been off with just my daughter a couple of times. It has really improved my confidence, loading up the car, driving long distances and setting up and I want my daughter to see that woman can be capable and independent (although I like my husband being there as he is strong and can carry 25 litre jerry cans of water for all us girls to sit around and chat, water cooler talk!)

Hee hee, it's not just me that refers to my OH as Mr Grumpy then???
I went camping on my own with the kids last weekend and it was really nice....kids settled down really well at night, and there as no worrying that hubby wanted to get the fire pit started, or cooking on or anybody to worry about but me and the kids...
I am definitely going to do it again. Will check out the meet section.
