I thought this would be the easiest piece of kit to buy, but it's the hardest to choose!

I have a coleman dual fuel lamp for outside, superb lantern, so no problems there. I'd like something electric for inside the tent at night when it's a bit too wet or cold to go outside. Looking for something rechargeable with a light that's good enough to read or play games from, and if possible can be dimmed for later when the littluns are going to bed.

Also, are there any individual lamps for the kids to use if they wake up in the middle of the night that you might recommend? Apologies if this is covering old ground, but I can't quite find exactly what I'm looking for.

Any ideas welcomed.

We use our Coleman duel fuel inside.

We do light it outside though as it can get a little excited at the sight of a flame lol

But be careful, especially with little ones or dogs running around

we are having the same bother.  all i can say is don't buy the rechargeable lantern from tesco direct!!  our old camping gaz one was good. 

we give our daughter a torch.  one of those squeezy ones so it doesn't need batteries???
