So, our beloved Royal Biarritz has finally gone to tent heaven. I loved that tent! After a fortnight in Cornwall we had 4 broken poles and rising damp which left us with a big puddle running under the carpet and a slight smell of cowpats which i don't think we will be able to exorcise. So, although i am sure it could probably be repaired, i think it is time to move on....
...to something completely different. We want a tunnel tent, 4 berth at least, that pitches all in one with as few poles as possible ( the biarritz had about ten and it got absoloutely drenched if putting it up in the rain). Was looking at the Coleman Weathermaster L which seemed cool but if anyone has any other suggestions???
We have just been away with our friends in their new weathermaster XL and it was mightily impressive and they are delighted with it. Says it goes up in a flash.
Definitely a range worth consideration. Slightly smaller is out new tent an Iowa L (outwell) which we are very happy with, but it's probably not as versatile.

ok I'm a complete newby at camping and on my first tent and I shouldn't even be THINKING about other tents...
But boy do I want a Karsten. There's no logic other than they look good, lots of option to increase and add on the basic tent and that they're apparently rock solid in wind. I don't get the premise (inflatable tent! no poles! what????) but they look like they'd last a long time.
Gawd knows how much they cost though. Apparently they're tailored to you, so that will be expensive.com.
We just got a Royal Seattle 4 and it's lovely, sig and only 4 poles hight is really good my hubby is 6ft3 and he can stand up in it no problem and loads of room in the living area.

A house is not a home without a dog.
We love our Outwell Oregon 5, three poles, can be pitched all as one and stood up to plenty of wind and rain last week in Scotland. There is a pic of it in my profile
We have also got the Oregon 5 and Oklahoma utility tent, both we are very happy with.I dont think stores stock the Oregon5, but you can get it online.Going to West Runton, Norfolk, next week, cant wait. Hope you get sorted.
Aww your poor tent. We've just got one of these from ebay and using it for the first time this weekend. I'm so excited! Any issues I should know about? You could always buy another one
my next addition will be a Khyam QE tent - I went for a shower, walked past the empty pitch next to us & when I came back, neighbour had arrived & tent was up!!
------------- rescue - my favourite breed of dog :-)

no issues at all - a perfectly wonderful tent in every way!
We got a vango sun canopy and a hartford l carpet to fit ours and we're hoping they will fit the next tent. The Royal was fab. We did at least 5 weeks in ours every year for four years but it took some hammering in a big storm which finished it off. Shame they don't last forever!
