Kept the TT in the lockup with eve erything in it ready to go for 5yrs...Used to keep all my fishing stuff in there too...Till one day at the start of the season...found every bit of tackle..Rods/rod bags/etc etc chewed to bits...and a nice wee family of mice nesting in my carrybag...Everything fishing/camping wise is now stored in a big walk in cupboard in my hall..or in my wee lock up in the bin cellar with just the odd bit of stuff stored against my bedroom wall...Bit of a bind carrying everything down 4 flights of stairs when I want to get off somewhere...But Im taking no chances...The other week..I put my fishing gear in the lockup overnight...Was off again next morning...Getting the gear out...and a mouse runs out of my rod bag!!!! Could have got there from my last trip out..But Im taking no chances despite  wee mouse clearing exercises in the past...I think their still there...Paranoid or what...17

Most of ours is in a cupboard under the stairs and the rest under my bed.

What i'd really like is a trailer that is kept more or less packed and ready to go but we've got nowhere safe and dry to keep a trailer like that.

All in garage except bedding.

I bought 4 big desks in an office clearance at start of this season. My FIL then can round and made custom storage out of them with his chop saw, drill and a very big hammer!!!

The unit is 7 feet tall, 2 wide and about 9 long and sits against garage wall. Diffrent sized shelves for fitting the outwells, storage boxes etc but all in one place apart from the Grange which still lives on half a pallet with the chairs and tables piled on top.

Before building this, all our kit lived on 3 pallets down middle of garage. Real pain to find anything esp pole and flysheet kits for the diffrent tents without moving everything.

So although garage still looks like a camping shop, at least its tidy and easy to grab stuff! All for the bargin price of £12 for the desks.

Thanks Dad 17
