Pitched my new Outwell Nevada 4 a couple of days ago. After I had worked out the ring & pin system, it went up fine. Taking down, though, the (long!) poles kept getting caught inside the sleeves, which meant the cord came out of the pole, etc. etc. Is there any way of avoiding this? Maybe use a lubricant, or WD40 on the poles?

We have the Nevada M and don't have a problem.  With you saying the cord comes out of the poles, I presume you are pulling the poles out but it is best to gently push them through from other end rather than pull.  The joints do sometimes snag, just gently ease them out, shaking the sleave slightly to aid removal.  I wouldn't use any lubricant as this could damage the fabric,

The only lubricant you should use on tent poles is Fabsil (yes, it's a lubricant as well as a waterproofer). You should push the poles out of the sleeves, rather than pulling them out, if you know what I mean 17

 Our poles have allways caught when pushing or pulling, just assumed that it was normal and got on with it.

first time I took the tent down, I pulled and the poles came apart.  I now push, and they come out fine 17

Push them though when you get to the last bit, walk round the other side to pull them don't have them laying on the ground, hold them in the air a bit so the tent is hanging down underneath it the pole is in tension and the joints stay together pulls though the last bit easy. Had the same problem with a horizon8 the ferrels on the poles always catch at the end off the sleeve
