Not strictly camping under canvas but I didn't know where else to put this.  Has anyone tried the camping pods available at some of the C&CC sites?  A bit expensive for my taste but they do look quite cool!

yes in winter cos i can't dry my tent out anywhere-so pods are ideal for getting away and it doesn't matter about he weather!

so how was it? Do they come with any furniture/equipment? how comfortable are they for 2?

They come with nothing(just a shell) and a small shell at that.
Have you noticed you can't find any internal measurements..I wonder why?

we've booked one in Eskdale in Nov. They're not very big, so we are only taking basics. they provide a heater but that's about it.

some sites have EHU in them too, sadly not Eskdale.

will report back after the trip

hmmm. come to think of it, it does remind me a bit of sleeping in a shed.

we went to eskdale last november. there were 2 brave guys camping in a tent (it was minus 10) but that was it!  four pods were being used the weekend we went -all couples and some of them had dogs. we had camp beds, sheepskin rugs, fleeces and sleeping bags. we didn't use the heater we were warm as toast. although it was freezing the skies were clear and cloudless-it was a beautiful weekend. in terms of size they say you can sleep four- you'd have to be very friendly! we found the size was just about right for us two-bearing in mind camp beds are quite big-you can store a lot of stuff underneath. yeah they are like sheds- i'd call them wooden tents- without the hassle of getting your tent muddy/wet in the autumn/winter months and having to dry them out after-we will be going again this nov/december
