Hi all... in a previous post i asked advice about a new airbed and the decision we made in the end was a coleman comfort...

well its a great airbed ,,didn't lose air was nice and solid and we loved it HOWEVER .... when i wake up i feel lightheaded,, dizzy and sick... my oh has to pull me off the bed and then i stagger to a chair and have to sit completely still for 10 mins until my balance steadies itself ????

wot is going on????

on the cheap tesco airbed i didn't have a problem..at home i use 2 pillows but have only ever took 1 pillow with me whilst camping and it has only affected me since the new bed... haha..????

i am completely baffled???

any advice would be great....thanx.

No is a shorter word than yes, but it always takes longer to say.

I get this too, you have to ensure that your head is higher than your feet, so even the slightest slope can make you feel like this, take a bouncy ball with you or something next time and see which way it rolls, so you can position your head in the right direction. It may not be really obvious by looking at your pitch that it slopes slightly, but its probably enough to make you feel this disorientated.

This sounds like an inner ear problem to me. It could be that your head whilst sleeping on the Coleman Airbed is at a different angle than what you are normally used to.

LOL!!!Mr Peg had a strange experience the first night of our trip: he slid sideways completely off the airbed like a jelly off a plate in his sleeping bag, landed flat on his back.We had to turn the bed round the next night so our feet were slightly downhill! We are not admitting to the presence of dizziness or wine corks

Hi

We always feel really light-headed if we are on any slope at all so its flat ground only for us now. We have several tents and different beds but have deducted it must be the slope!
