Hoping for some advice on putting up an Outwell Idaho.

Have put the tent up a few times now but we've always had problems getting the pins into the bottom of the poles (hope that makes sense...). It seems too tight and when we pull the fabric over to one side to create a little slack we then can't get it to go back the other way which leaves the pole joins exposed. We end up with too much tent on one side and not enough on the other and the groundsheet is pulled up in places - worried this could cause problems in bad weather.

We've made sure that the adjustable straps (only have them on one side) are fully loosened but nothing seems to work. HELP!!!

Any advice gratefully received!

It can be difficult depending on the temperature Ive found..maybe the tent material shrinks when its cold?

If there are two of you putting the tent up, maybe try one of you bending the pole a bit more towards the pin. Plus try all the other suggestions above as well.

its frustrating isnt it...sometimes the pegs just pop into the holes and then at other times..usually when its raining, the b****rs wont go in
