I take a small electric oven/grill, hair dryer, straightners, chargers,electric pump, coolbox,...... obviously I only use one appliance at a time!

we take

Kettle, Toaster, Fridge, Tent lighting, mobile chargers, electric airbed pump

We take fan heater, small fridge/cool box and a light.

If the boys take DS and mobiles we obviously take the chargers too.

We`re going to camp with an EHU at Oct. half term too. never used one before.

I`m planning on using it for heating and lighting. ....and maybe the DS chargers!!!!

I use EHU for cooking using a portable induction hob. We also use the electric to run a coolbox, camping toaster (low wattage) and lights and to charge up mobiles etc.

We recently bought a fan heater (Argos cheap one 1kw/2kw) and it is probably the best thing I have bought for camping. It makes the tent so cosy in the evening (especially during this lovely english summer we've been having ) and means we can still sit around in  t-shirts playing cards and not think about the cold. We usually have it on high for about 10 minutes to warm up the tent then put it onto low to keep it at a nice temperature until bedtime.

Depending on the ampage of the electric we only ever tend to run 1/2 things at a time as we don't like to overload the electric. Therefore if I am using the fan heater we unplug everything else except the light.

Totally agree. If you only want to take the fan heater then take just that.

No need to take extra stuff just because you have EHU.

We tend not to go for EHU for shorter stays- means less packing and more choice of sites.
