Yes, its wild out there, have to say I am glad to be in my bed tonight, wouldn't fancy being under canvass, I am shivering in the house, time to dig out the fleece jacket I think
We quit a day early and came home this morning. We still had to pack up in the rain, but couldn't see the weather improving so didn't see the point in stopping any longer, oh and we had a leak so the bedding was wet. Sitting watching the wind now Im pleased we left early.
good luck kerry , there still seems no let up here in manchester the rain is terrible the weather has put a dampener on so many peoples plans for the weekend hope it calms down a bit tommorow
It is actually not raining here at the moment - won't say dry because the air is damp - it is very windy. Got drenched earlier when I took the dog for a walk - especially as he seemed to thing it was a game to run away when I was trying to put his lead back on.
Rumours that the weather may settle down up here next week. Take it with a big pinch of salt though Had some really hefty showers here again tonight - not nice.
My Sky signal keeps going off, that usually means awful weather on the way. Oh my days it's been awful here today. Horizontal rain and mucho wind, quite cold too, had to have the fire on. I hope it bucks up a bit for the weekend, just going outdoors for the day as I don't fancy pitching in a bog. Flippin shame as it's one of the few weekends when all of us had the tme off. Makes me very miffed!
We were supposed to be going to Dunbar today for two nights. Just phoned up the campsite and the camping field is empty. Only caravans there. We have had so much rain over the last 36 hours the main road into that campsite was closed yesterday afternoon! We are very lucky that the campsite have allowed us to carry our deposit over towards another trip. Its such a shame as we were so looking forward to this weekend. Didnt fancy camping in a mud bath though. Fingers crossed we will get away in the next few weeks.
Well i had 2 offers to camp this weekend 1 at Bellingham the other in Durham looking out of my window I think I will just put the central heating on and stay at home, just came back from west Scotland 6 days camping turned out to be 3 days b/b as camp sites were flooded, ah well there's always next week
