Can I just clear up about the dog and the head torch ...

Firstly, it wasnt me but my 12 year old who thought that one up, he seemed to think Jasper would like it for night time walkies (well, it was just dusk actually)

First I knew about it was when I heard "Mum ... the dog is loose ..."

The dog (a BLACK cocker spaniel .. and this is relevant) had set off like a greyhound across the campsite trying to catch the beam of light just in front of him. Trying to find a black dog wearing a torch at night on a darkening campsite when everyone had their torches out wasnt funny, just downright embarassing ...

Luckily when we found him he had worn himself out, and had found himself a very nice family barbequeing sausages! We never did
find the head torch.

LOVE THIS! A NEW CAMPING GAME FOR THE KIDS - CATCH THE DOG.

Im hoping someone can tell me the difference between a naughty wonder wedge and the ordinary kind ....  just so that I have my excuses ready when I unpack my latest purchase from the back of the car!!

Sarah forget the crocs ... Im going to be daring and wear flip flops with mine, and a dab of perfume of course ....

I think the dog is going to need a blindfold .... and therapy of course ...

And no ... OH will not be wearing a headtorch ....

[8D] [8D]  [8D], No, your not the only one using a 'Tent Voice',[8D] I didn't realise there was a word for it until your post though. I use mine when chastising the kids, so I don't sound like a fishwife all over the campsite.

Anniemac,

Buy a Wondawedge,  and you will have no problem explaining your latest purchase.

However if you buy a Wonderwedge, you will need some creative and quick thinking to explain just how to use it (quietly) in a tent.

Have to say this is the best site on the internet! I only started camping this year (husband has done it for years and fishes over night regularly)and i love it!

I have learnt so so much from all you guys - you are fab!

We have now camped 5 times and i have used so so many of all your tips! Lots of fellow campers have commented and i have said about this site!

Am i being silly though when i think:

'Don't want too many people to realise about how much fun camping is???'

Have a very daft black lab so going to try the 'head tourch'!!! Going to make sure i do not need the toilet though!

Wonderwedge...HA HA HA HA!!! fantastic! Will need some exaplaning to husband!!

Right..

Mats under air beds - fantastic!
Frozen water - Brillant!
Layering - A must - for all the family!

Thank you....

When you have your sunglasses hanging on the front of your Tshirt, dont bend over to reach the toilet flusher or your shades may fall down the toilet and get flushed away.

Dont ask me how I know :)
